Franklin Street Campus - OPEN Your Safety at EIBT

Notice to EIBT Students re Swine Flu Case at Franklin Street Campus

I am pleased to advise that the Year 10 Eynesbury Senior College student has made a full recovery.  There have been no further cases.

Please note that the Franklin Street campus will re-open from Friday, 29 May, 2009 following the end of the 7 day isolation period.  Accordingly, the Library will once again be open to EIBT students.

Although there has been no instruction from SA Health to do so, an antiseptic clean of all surfaces at the Franklin Street campus has been undertaken during the closure.

Should you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact Ms Margo Styles, Manager, Student Services on the Ground Floor of the Coglin Street campus or by telephone (ph 8216-9129).

From the College Director,

I am very pleased to announce that from 27th April, 2009 Eynesbury will open its brand new campus situated at 16-20 Coglin Street, Adelaide.  Over the next two months, commencing with EIBT, a number of Eynesbury’s academic programs will be taught at the new campus, with the exception of Senior Secondary Years 10, 11 and 12, some Foundation Studies classes that are shared with the Senior Secondary School and laboratory classes, all of which will continue to be taught at the Franklin Street campus.

New Building

The Coglin Street campus is situated 50 metres from the restaurant and shopping area of Gouger Street and a two minute walk from China Town and Victoria Square.  The Coglin Street building is a 4 minute walk from the Franklin Street campus via the Adelaide Central Market.  It will become the hub for the majority of our international students and represents a significant improvement in the facilities we are able to offer our students.

A Student Services  Office has been established on the Ground Floor of the Coglin Street building which will cater to most student needs although, in the short term, some student services may remain in the Franklin Street building  (eg the Library) until they can be relocated.

On behalf of Eynesbury, I look forward to welcoming you to our new facility.  Students will be advised in due course concerning the date that their lectures will commence in the new premises.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Millen

College Director
