EIBT does not offer financial assistance in the form of scholarships or loans. However, EIBT Diploma students may be eligible for the Australian government's FEE-HELP scheme. What is FEE-HELP? Am I eligible for FEE-HELP? How do I apply for FEE-HELP? Is there a limit on how much I can borrow under FEE-HELP? When will my FEE-HELP loan have to be repaid? Is there any incentive to voluntarily pay off my FEE-HELP loan? What are the tuition fees at EIBT? What are census dates and when are they? What happens if I withdraw after the census date? What happens if EIBT ceases to offer my program? Where can I get further information?
What is FEE-HELP? FEE-HELP is an interest free loan that helps eligible fee paying students pay their tuition fees. The accumulated debt is indexed according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). It applies to undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and research study. At EIBT eligible students can use FEE-HELP for Diploma level programs only. Back to top Am I eligible for FEE-HELP? Australian citizens and holders of permanent humanitarian visas are eligible for FEE-HELP assistance. The following students are NOT eligible for FEE-HELP - New Zealand Citizens; and
- Permanent visa holders (other than holders of a permanent humanitarian visa)
- Overseas students
These students must pay their tuition fees upfront. Back to top How do I apply for FEE-HELP? If you wish to pay for part or all of their tuition fees through FEE-HELP you must complete and sign a ‘Request for FEE-HELP Assistance’ form available from Australian Government website: www.goingtouni.gov.au. This form is also available from EIBT. On this form you can elect to pay a portion of fees directly to EIBT, and the remaining debt will be registered as a loan through the Australian Taxation Office. Back to top Is there a limit on how much can borrow under FEE-HELP? Eligible people may borrow up to the FEE-HELP limit to pay tuition fees over their lifetime. From 1 January 2008, the FEE-HELP limit will be $81,600, unless a person is undertaking a medicine, veterinary science or dentistry course. If they are, the FEE-HELP limit is increased to $102,000. The FEE-HELP limit is indexed on 1 January each year. Back to top When will my FEE-HELP loan have to be repaid?
