Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies

EIBT offers a university foundation program which provides a bridge between secondary school and undergraduate studies. The Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies is designed to adequately prepare you for entry to university level programs in the Business, Information Technology, Tourism and Hospitality and Nursing. The Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies consists of eight courses of study.
In addition to formal contact hours EIBT provides you with extra support through individual consultation with teachers, tutorials in mathematics and English language, and self access computer laboratories.
Upon successful completion of the foundation program, you may choose to undertake a Diploma of Commerce or Diploma of Computing and Information Technology then articulate in to the second year of the relevant Bachelor degree program at one of the three universities in Adelaide.
As well as smaller classes and additional academic support offered in programs, you may also fast track your studies with EIBT’s three semester academic calendar.
The Certificate IV in UFS may be completed in two or three semesters of full-time study (or part-time equivalent). It may be possible to fast track certificate studies by transferring to an EIBT diploma after undertaking only one semester of the Certificate IV and achieving average grades of 70% or more. The Certificate IV in UFS comprises eight courses – six core courses, and two courses from a stream of business, information technology, hospitality or nursing. Students who successfully complete the Certificate IV in UFS, Nursing Stream are eligible to apply for admission into the first year of the Bachelor of Nursing (Pre-Registration) at Flinders University. The Certificate IV UFS Hospitality stream provides a foundation for direct entry into all certificate, diploma and degree programs conducted by the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM). Graduates will also qualify for entry into higher level vocational programs in the same field. |
